Ryan's Place was phenomenal! The accommodations were better than described. The breakfast that Ryan made for us was delicious and such a wonderful touch. The firepit, covered seating and outdoor cooking facilities which are available for use are such a great concept! Everything is so well taken care of, you can be assured Ryan takes pride in his property and wants guests to have a great experience. We will definitely return and I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a relaxing time in a beautiful spot!

We cannot say enough great things about our stay with Chef Ryan at Savor Carolina. From the moment we drove in, we felt peaceful and welcome. The cabins and grounds are immaculate and the pork chops dinner Chef Ryan made for us were to die for! His sides were potatoes and a duck confit, with leeks and stone ground mustard. Also a grilled summer squash w/ a basil herb pesto topped with fried shallots. AMAZING!! Then for dessert, he served us a blackberry buckle with fresh homemade whipped cream. Falling asleep to the lovely sounds of the forest made for an unforgettable vacation spot. Make your reservations SOON!!

Wow! What a great weekend at Savor! We were looking for a place to stay for the weekend while dropping our son off at WCU. We love to camp and didn't want to be in this amazing outdoor playground and have our experience limited by a hotel room. Upon arrival, Ryan greeted us and gave us a quick tour. After a short nap on the hammock we went exploring! Saver is so centrally located we were able to take a nice drive on the BR Parkway, hike and fish all before dinner. The cabin was perfect! The early morning coffee outside as the fog rose off the mountains or the drinks around the campfire were amazing! Not to mention the community of "campers" you meet and become friends with. The community kitchen includes everything you need to cook any meal. The setup at Savor is glamping without the schlepping! Ryan served us a delicious savory breakfast. Next time we will make plans in advance to have Chef Ryan cook dinner for us as the dinner he was preparing for other guests smelled incredible! 5*

First off, Ryan is amazing! He is super accommodating with my dogs, and he's a dog guy too. Next, the grounds were immaculate and exactly like he described. We brought our own steaks and salad, and he was accommodating with kitchen gear. Lastly, he is a legit "Foodie's chef." He made us breakfast on our last morning, and it was amazing! What a great retreat in the mountains! If you want to enjoy mountain life and be immersed in nature, look no further. He did a great job with this place, and I plan to return and rent out the whole property!

Wow. This was a Fourth of July and Airbnb stay that will go down in our personal history books. After having California travel plans thrown into chaos because of the nationwide flight cancellations, we quickly pivoted, found Ryan’s place, and booked for the holiday. SO glad we did! The property is exactly what we were looking for, and more. A simple but cute cabin in the woods, upgraded with a chef’s kitchen house, open for our use, plus a stylish outdoor dining room and kitchen. It is everything glamping is supposed to be and more. And the setting, with the river below us, and the cute, friendly town of Sylva around the bend, and the Blue Ridge Parkway and 6,000 foot peaks just 15 minutes away… perfect. Except that Ryan adds onto perfect by offering to prepare a gourmet dinner — and breakfast — just ‘cuz. Awesome. We are going back as soon as we can. Oh! And dog friendly! Our two elderly but intrepid chihuahuas were greeted like old family friends.

If every host was as friendly and welcoming as Ryan, I would travel more often! He is an amazing host! For a small fee he will cool for you (with notice of course) he’s an amazing chef and makes it look easy, but his kitchen and outdoor cooking spaces are at your disposal to use as well! Next trip I’m gonna do some cooking for him! There’s 2 quaint little towns nearby, excellent shops, bakeries and Breweries! I loved how dog friendly Ryan was, my little 4 legged girl loved him! Its in the woods which was exactly what I wanted. I had free access to the fire pit, the outdoor space, and the hammock which I enjoyed! It rained my last night there and both my dog and I loved it..the sound of the rain hitting the roof put us right to sleep! I think Ryan will get booked up quickly, I just hope his place is available on my next trip! Because I plan on booking the whole place with friends or family!

Ryan is a classic A chef! Along with your beautiful stay he’ll cook up a delicious meal for you and your loved ones. Outside of the one meal (or several depending on the length of stay) he’ll make. There is a restaurant style kitchen guest are able to use! As a bodybuilder I eat a lot, plus enjoy cooking myself. The kitchen was very impressive.
There are several rooms all are very nice. My first time there it rained. Rooms have meal roofs and I could hear the rain coming down, for me it was the best sleep. The whole atmosphere feels like your camping 🏕️! The nature is beautiful, surrounded by trees. Wake up to the birds singing.
