Backed up to the Ouachita National Forest, and perched upon a hilltop, the Buena Vista Cottage gazes down upon one of the best views The Pea Patch Ranch has to offer. Enjoy a glass of iced tea from the front porch while watching the calves play -- or take an easy stroll down to the Caddo River for a cool dip in a private swimming hole. There are no schedules in The Pea Patch.



Buena Vista Cottage is a private Ouachita hideaway that sleeps six comfortably. The cottage home is a two-bedroom, two-full-bath arrangement, one queen bed, one full bed, hide-a-bed sofa. Satellite TV in den and queen room. Washer & dryer, 2-car carport. All linens are provided. Our large, fully equipped kitchen will make even a gourmet cook smile.



The Cottage's spacious den spans out to a remarkable glass solarium, which offers the most breathtaking view on the Ranch.



Glenwood Country Club Golf course, one of the states best golf courses, is a short drive away

REALLY BEAUTIFUL PLACE
My family had a great time at Pea Patch Ranch. Its secluded and very peaceful. The cottage is nice and clean. A storm came through while we were there but even that was nice. We watched the rain through all those windows on the front. The swimming hole is cool and clear. We had no phone service which was great. My kids were forced to do other things like play board games and just be outside. We would love to go back again!

Beautiful house and property. Quiet and relaxing.
We had a great time on our trip to Caddo Gap. The house had everything we needed and lots of space. The kids especially loved the creek. They swam and fished for hours. They didn't want to go anywhere else in the area because everything they wanted to do was available on the property. Bridgett and her husband were very helpful and were available if needed. Great place to unplug and get away
We had a great visit to Pea Patch Ranch. It was comfortable for our family. We loved exploring the trails and swimming hole. What a wonderful place to relax. A beautiful view, quiet ranch and terrific hospitality. I would love to visit again if in the area.

Great get away
We absolutely loved staying here. The house is roomy and comfortable with pretty much anything you would need to enjoy your stay. It is surrounded by forests, rolling pastures and clear streams that feed into the river. It is quiet and secluded, but very near the paved county road. Had we known how much we would enjoy it, we would have stayed a few more days.

Relaxing and Peaceful retreat
What a wonderful place to stay, beautiful property and cottage! Bridget has thought of everything for the most pleasant experience! Loved waking to sunrise and cows in nearby pasture. Walked the Caddo River front and the local people (including Bridget’s friends and family) are SO kind and welcoming! We will definitely stay here next time we return to Arkansas! A beautiful little escape
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Buena Vista Cottage! Wanted a secluded place to stay for a weekend fishing trip with our dogs. This place was perfect! The house is cozy and has stocked kitchen for cooking. Our dogs LOVED the swimming hole and the hiking trails behind the house were great. Bridget was a wonderful host. Will be sure to stay again on our next fishing excursion. Thanks again Bridgett!

Loved it!! Got to see and hear things we don't normally see and hear!! Brought me back into the 60's and I surely felt my momma's presence around me! Hope to go again when all the flowers are pretty and in bloom all around ! Did get to see some of the leaf color change, at least what was left to them....we were a lil late in the season to see it in full techno color!!! Thanks for the hospitality and WE'LL B BACK!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. Definitely a great place to get away from the city and unplug. Everything you need is a 15min drive. The Caddo river on the property was great. Really enjoyed our week stay. Will be recommending this place to our friends.

Meet the Host

Bridget
I've lived here on my family farm for over 50 years. We have cattle and have had a wide mix of every type of farm animal. After turning over the care of cattle to my nephew I became a Master Gardner in 1995 and enjoy the 200 acres of native forest that surrounds the cottage.
My passion now is volunteering for our local animal shelter twice a week and helping with our spay/neuter clinics..
Here on the farm most of our time now is spent "placating the dogs" by driving around the property and letting them run the woods or get in the river.
It's a nice life!
