When you step through the front door of this lovely home, you are immediately drawn into the bright living room area with spectacular views of the 14th fairway of the Links at Bodega Harbour. The large patio is highlighted by lush grass and plants that edge the golf course, backdropped by the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean and Bodega Head. As you look around, your mind will tell you this is a great place to stay a while: clean, comfy, spacious, and cared for.
Clearly, the owners want you to feel pampered and content during your stay. The wood-burning stove is flanked by two large windows, allowing you to warm yourself as you relax and take in the view. Here and there during your visit, you will see deer, fox, quail, and other wildlife moving about the scenes before you.
When you look around the house, you will see the dining table that seats 8 or more, plus four bar stools along the kitchen bar. The well-stocked kitchen has a huge island and an ample assortment of dishware, glassware, and flatware. The kitchen has recently been updated, with new countertops and appliances. Near the kitchen are a convenient half bath and a Maytag washer and dryer as you pass through to the garage.
Each bedroom is tastefully decorated with plenty of closet space. Special attention has been paid to the high-end mattresses and bedding to assure you and your companions will sleep well and feel refreshed in the morning, ready for all the adventures the Bodega Bay area has to offer. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, a walk-in closet, flat-screen TV-DVD. A sliding door gives you direct access to the spacious patio and ocean views beyond. The ensuite bath features a deep jacuzzi tub for total relaxation, a generous vanity with two sinks and a separate shower.
A second bedroom with a queen size bed and similar amenities is next to a full bathroom with a tub/shower. Bathrooms are stocked with plentiful fluffy towels and quality toiletries are provided to add to your pampered feeling.
The expansive upstairs loft is a special treat, as the views of the surrounding hills and Bay from the upstairs loft and bedroom are amplified from above. Sink into comfortable leather sofas and easy chairs. The large 55 flat-screen TV and game table await laughter and friendly banter. You will find a selection of games, puzzles, and books for your enjoyment. There is also a full-sized futon where children may sleep. When the games and entertainment end, the third bedroom provides seclusion with views of nearby grassy slopes and the same luxuries as other bedrooms, with a queen size bed to relax and sleep well.
This is a home that invites guests to gather and bond, or smaller groups who are wishing for breathing room and comfortable seclusion.

We have enjoyed living vicariously through the happy stories and memorable experiences that our guests have shared with us. We are now helping other homeowners in Bodega Harbour share their houses and warm hospitality. It is important to us that every guest enjoys their visit to Bodega Bay with all the creature comforts of a clean, well-stocked home.

Getting around
We feel the most direct and scenic route to Bodega Bay from either the Bay Area or Sacramento is via Hwy 101 to East Washington Street in Petaluma (Exit 474).
- FROM THE BAY AREA -
Get to Golden Gate Bridge / US-101 Northbound about 40 miles to exit 474 toward E Washington Street and turn left (West).
- FROM THE SACRAMENTO AREA -
I-80 West to Vallejo
Exit 33B to take CA-37 West for 15.4 miles
Right on Lakeville Hwy / 116 for 11.1 miles
Right to merge onto US-101 N for 1 mile
Exit 474: E Washington Street turn left (West)
- FROM EAST WASHINGTON -
Heading westbound, East Washington Street turns into Bodega Ave as it goes through town. Stay on this road for about 26 miles, all the way to the Bodega Harbour community. The road will change names to Valley Ford Rd and then CA-1 North. Once you are through Petaluma, enjoy the scenic drive with rolling green farmlands, happy cows, and frolicking sheep. Cell service on this stretch of road can be unpredictable but usually regains stability as you approach Bodega Bay.
You may consider stopping to shop for groceries and necessities as you drive through Petaluma, as shopping in Bodega Bay is more limited. You will find a Target, Whole Foods, and Safeway store within the first few miles of E Washington.
After 26 miles, turn Left onto Harbour Way into the Bodega Harbour community. Please keep your speed at the posted 25 MPH max, there are usually lots of hikers and dogs, deer, etc. Once you turn into the Bodega Harbour community, here is how to navigate to the house:

The maximum occupancy of Bodega Retreat is 8 people, including children. You can have up to 6 additional visitors during the day (7 am to 10 pm), but no guests after 10 PM. Parties are not permitted.
House Rules
* You must be 25 years of age to rent this home. All Guests must e-sign the Host's Rental Agreement and provide a photo ID for insurance purposes within 24 hours of making a reservation. The Rental Agreement must include a valid residential address and a working personal phone number.
* Maximum of 8 people staying overnight without any additional charges. You can have up to 6 additional visitors during the day (7am-10pm), but no parties, no guests after 10 PM, and no commercial filming.
* Check-in after 4:00 PM. We will provide you with a door lock code a few days in advance.
* Check-out by 11:00 AM. Before you leave, please load and run the dishwasher, close the windows, draw down the shades, and lock all of the doors. Please leave the beds unmade, and used towels in the tub. Housekeeping will take care of laundering linens and trash disposal.
* Timely checkout is imperative to allow adequate time between guests for thorough housekeeping and to avoid impacting another guest's experience. For this reason, without pre-approval, departing 1 hour after checkout time incurs a $150 fee. After 2 hours, the guest is responsible for the base nightly rate as a penalty, plus any costs or refunds associated with displacing the next guest.
* HOA quiet hours are from 10 PM until 7 AM. Please respect the serenity of the community and bring the festivities indoors during those hours. We love our neighbors. Please be considerate, respectful, and courteous.
* The cleaning fee covers standard cleaning of the home, laundering the bedding and towels, and trash removal. If excessive cleaning is required, or damages occur, there will be an appropriate additional charge. No glitter or confetti!
* This is a smoke-free home. Absolutely NO SMOKING or VAPING of any kind (including tobacco or marijuana) inside the house or garage. If you smoke on the patio please dispose of butts appropriately; do not throw them in the yard. * If smoke is detected inside the home, you will be charged for excessive cleaning, odor removal, and damage to linens or furnishings, plus any costs or refunds associated with displacing the next guest.
* Pets are only allowed in homes designated as pet-friendly (maximum 2 per home). Pets must be kept on a leash when outside of the house. Pets are not allowed on the golf course or cart paths. Pets are never to be left in homes unattended. You must pick up after your pets. We follow the ADA definition and requirements for Service Animals, which must be disclosed prior to arrival so that the home can be prepared for them.
* Bodega Retreat permits no more than two small dogs under 25 lbs each, or one large dog over 25 lbs. Sorry… no cats.
* Please keep all food items in the kitchen, dining room, or living room. Please refrain from taking food to other rooms in the house.
* It is dangerous to leave a burning fire unattended. Please do not light a fire on the morning of your departure, as our housekeeping staff cannot clean the fireplace with hot coals. Items near the fireplace may be hot.
* We are close to nature and many species of wildlife inhabit the area. All outside trash must be placed in the garbage closet next to the garage to avoid spreading trash by wildlife.
* Most of our Guests find the home appealing for its proximity to nature. Since we are in a natural coastal area with lots of wildlife, it is normal to see the occasional insect in the house that may enter through an open door or window. We cannot control Mother Nature, and do not apply refunds if you encounter a few ants or wildlife evidence during your stay. This home is treated regularly by a professional pest control company to ensure that insects are not a problem.
* Please wipe up any spills immediately and keep food covered or in the fridge if you start to attract ants. Pet food bowls should be cleaned after use. Do not leave bowls of food out.
* Please make sure babies and children do not climb the stairs without supervision or play in the loft unattended.
* Both indoors and outdoors there are several areas with steps. Please use caution.
* Do not move furniture, or remove items from the house.
* White towels are for indoor bathroom use. Colored towels are for outdoor beach use. Makeup wipes are provided in each bathroom. Cleaning cloths and old towels are located on the shelf in the garage. Please do not take the white towels to the beach. Don’t use white towels to clean your makeup, boots, golf clubs, tires, or other items that will stain them.
* One locked closet containing the owner’s personal property is located in the front bedroom downstairs. Please do not try to open this.
* We cannot be responsible for utility service interruptions that are outside of our control such as power, internet or cell services. Cell service in particular can be inconsistent in coastal areas.
* As is common with many homes and vacation rental properties, we may have installed on-site devices for your security. These may include electronic door locks, light timers, security alarms, exterior motion sensors, outdoor facing cameras (which record whenever motion is detected including voices), smoke detection devices, and decibel meters (which do not record voices). For your privacy, we do not have any cameras inside the house. Cameras are all in plain sight and are located at the front entrance doorbell, and back yard. Tampering with the WiFi, mesh routers, or any of the security devices is grounds for immediate eviction with no refunds.No smokingNo parties or eventsCheck-in is anytime after 4:00 PM

The nightly rates and minimum number of nights are dynamically adjusted every day by our software based on seasonality, availability of similar homes, and demand for short-term rental properties in the area. Demand is higher on weekends, holidays, or around regional events, and our rates reflect those fluctuations. Availability shown is six months in advance. Cancellation Policy
One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
