Located at the 10-mile marker in the main channel in Sunrise Beach, MO, this home is close to everything you need for a fun and relaxing getaway. Enjoy the convenience of Frankie and Louies just around the corner by boat at the end of the next-door cove or Captain Ron's 10 minutes away by car! This home offers 2 comfortable bedrooms, plus a charming loft that kids (8+ please) will love. It also has 3 full bathrooms, a rare luxury on the lake! The master bedroom has a king bed with an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom, downstairs, has a bunk bed with full size mattresses, a single pull-out leather couch, an ensuite bathroom, and walk-out access to the screened-in porch, martini deck, and dock. The living room has a queen pull-out couch, a loft with a single bed, a full bathroom, an LCD Smart TV with Roku box, a Bluetooth enabled sound bar, and stunning views of the main channel. All mattresses are high quality hybrid memory foam for your comfort and rest. The views of the lake from the large open concept of the main floor are truly spectacular and relaxing.

* Sorry, no pets. We love pets, but we have guests that choose to stay at Blue Heron Ozark Retreat because it is animal dander free. They count on us keeping it that way. We hope you understand.
* We have security cameras. Full disclosure here, we have installed security cameras on the exterior of the house near the entry ways. This is for the property safety and for our guest's safety.

This stay was amazing. The location on the lake was perfect, the house was tucked into a quiet residential area but only 10 minutes from lake bars and action. The house was right on the water in the main channel but swimming was safe and away from boat traffic. The dock was large enough for 9 of us to hang out on for the day very comfortably. The water off the dock was nice and deep and perfect for swimming. The water was so clear that while sitting on the deck over looking the water your could see fish swimming around. The indoor space was very comfortable and the outdoor spaces ranged from areas of full sun, shade, covered, and even an enclosed area. No matter the weather there is an outdoor space for the occasion. Host very responsive and courteous. Ten out of ten recommend this place…you will not be disappointed!!!

We had the best weekend at Jared & Emily’s place. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for our stay. Jared was responsive and so welcoming, and made it very easy to contact him if we needed anything at all. There was plenty of space for us and lots to do. The home has two decks and a sunroom, as well as the dock right on the main channel which gave us plenty of options to hang out outside & enjoy the lake. Some highlights of our weekend were swimming by the dock and having drinks and playing games on the martini deck. This place is truly a gem! We also had easy access to Ubers to take us to nearby restaurants and bars. I would a thousand percent stay here again, whether it be another weekend with friends or a family outing with my kids. 10/10 recommend!

Had issues using the check-in code on the lock, but I was able to get in touch with Jared through the AirBnB app and quickly resolve the issue. Once inside the place was great, extremely comfortable lake side cabin feeling. Everything was clean and ready for move in.

Boaters Beware
When we rented this property the ad included a slip and a lift. Less than 48 hours prior to our check-in the host contacted us and informed us that we were no longer allowed to use the slip/lift. They then suggested that we tie up to the side of the dock instead as they had installed protective coverings on the dock. This property is on the main channel near the 10 mile marker so the waters get very rough at times due to passing boats. We only had our boat tied to the dock for roughly an hour and we had damage (estimated $800 to fix) so we had to pull our boat from the water. The protective covers on the dock were missing in areas and the bumpers were cracked and caved in. We ended up having to rent a slip elsewhere which defeated the purpose of renting this property entirely.

Response:This one is a bit tough for me to respond. We did fail to properly communicate the change of not being able to use the lift and needing to side-tie boat. For that we apologize. Last year was a learning experience for us with us being new and we strive to learn from those mistakes. If had given the opportunity, we would have tried to make it right. Even though we hate seeing a 1-star review, Lina does bring up a very good point that we try to stress in the booking and that is we are on the busiest part of the main channel. Waves get very large on busy weekends. If you plan to side-tie, please be familiar with the process and know how to properly do it. We spent a lot of time and money last year trying to keep up with fixing damage done from boaters improperly tying their boats. The boats should not be tied tightly but instead with their bumpers down loosely tied allowing the boat to move freely and independently of the dock without ripping off cleats, damaging the dock, or damaging the boat. The right side of the dock (side with all the cleats and bumpers and closest to break wall) is setup for side tying and should be used.

Amazing home! Very clean, spacious and you cannot find a better view AND spot on the lake. You walk out of the door and your feet are basically in the water. Such a great place to wake up and relax! We will be back next summer!
