I am a walking Portland advertisement. So let me know if you need help with anything!

Brooklyn is a unique working class neighborhood with beautiful 100 year old houses. We are near the Spring Water Corridor, the Rhododendron garden, West Moreland, Division Street, Brooklyn neighborhood park, Aladdin Theater, and Rose City Coffee.

I am two blocks from bus stop and seven blocks from max stop. There is plenty of on-street parking available.

There are no pets allowed. There is no smoking, vaping, or drugs allowed on the premises (inside and out).

To keep the yard beautiful, several mornings a week I am around the cottage as early as 7:30a watering and keeping things looking neat. When it is extremely hot I need to water every day. I am as quiet as possible.

There are two bicycles in the shed. These are "One-size". The frame is designed for various sized persons and is easily adjustable. There are bike locks, helmets, and a bike pump available.

Dawn and her daughter were super nice, helpful and accommodating! They gave us our privacy but were there for us if we needed anything. We felt very safe and at ease during our stay. The property was beautiful and peaceful. They both did a great job on the landscaping, and we enjoyed all the beautiful plants and flowers! The cottage had both modern features and historic charm! We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend!

Dawn’s place is perfect for out-of-towners going to a show at the Aladdin! It’s just a 10-15 minute walk through a quiet neighborhood. The house itself was just as described and well appointed. Would have loved to stay longer - it would have been a good place from which to explore the neighborhoods in that part of Portland.

Dawn's space is really lovely and is outfitted with everything you need for either a short or longer-term stay, which is what we did while we worked through some issues with our own home in Portland. The space has high ceilings and there is lovely light, even on gray days - which are pretty frequent in Portland. The bed is super-comfy and the bedroom looks out on a lovely garden area. Dawn was warm, responsive and easy to communicate with. Though the unit is right behind the main house, it felt separate and private. And it's in a great location. Good coffee and pizza within walking distance and it's close to freeways while still being quiet and feeling tucked away. I definitely would recommend Dawn's place as a home base while you're in town!

Not the best neighborhood. No wifi, no working TV or radio. Cold water only at Kitchen sink. Glasses dirty and no dishwasher. Quilt on bed needed to be washed. Toaster old and gross. Street parking only in an iffy neighborhood. No curtains/blinds on front door or kitchen sink facing the street. Old man passerby standing on sidewalk looking right in.(for a long time) At night with lights on you can see right in. I paid over $800 for ending up with 3 nights because I left early. I will not book again. I also have a rental off my house. I know the difference.

Response:Please ignore this review and look at all of my 5 star reviews and SuperHost status. This guest has never stayed in an Airbnb before. She had no reviews. Airbnb flagged her as a possible scammer. I don’t know why. Maybe she had trouble creating her profile? She did prove to be technologically challenged as my daughter physically assisted her to access the WI-FI yet she continued to have problems. In March I bought a new modem, a new router, and increased my internet speed with Comcast. I just checked in with my current guest, he said he’s been in zoom meetings all day. The TV works. I bought a new TV in November 2021. The profile clearly states that the TV only has Netflix and Hulu. There is hot water at the kitchen sink. I just knocked on the door and current guest let me test it. Becky contacted me and asked if there was off-street parking I said no. She was aware before booking that off-street parking was not available. I do not include a dishwasher as an amenity in the listing. Not the best neighborhood? Houses in this neighborhood cost between $600,000 - $900,000. It is a tree lined street with 100+ year-old houses and everyone has beautifully kept yards. In the private feedback she left for me she also said, “Otherwise the apartment was clean and fine”. I was in Europe during Becky’s stay so I did not meet her or see the unit when she left. This is what my house cleaner messaged me, “The people who stayed there last had a party or something. Absolutely dirty! Her bloody panties and bra I had to deal with. It was absolutely nasty!” She left a lot of her belongings that had to be dealt with. I sent her a message and asked her how everything was going. She did not respond.
