You’ll also have access to an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, and a Storage Cabin stocked with camp chairs, games, and an extra fridge.

The great outdoors is right at your doorstep, with endless space for hiking, exploring, and stargazing. Whether you're here to unwind or dive into adventure, Bear Creek Cabins is all yours to enjoy! ???️

The host isn’t onsite, but don’t worry—we’re just a message away via the Airbnb app! Consider us your virtual concierge, ready to help with anything you need.

The complex is at the end of a dirt road that rises roughly the height of the Statue of Liberty in about a half mile. The road surface can get dusty in July and August.

The property is at the end of a half-mile winding gravel road, steep in spots, but that’s all part of the adventure! No 4WD needed—just take it slow and steady. Keep an eye out for occasional oncoming vehicles. There are pullouts for safe passing (mountain road etiquette: whoever can stop without an issue, should yield). Enjoy the ride—it’s all part of the mountain getaway experience!

Great host with excellent communication. Beautiful spot with perfect balance of privacy, tranquility, entertainment and comfort. Perfectly supplied with all the things I forgot. I cannot thing of anything else we could have asked for. Worst part of the entire trip was having to leave at the end. We could have stayed there indefinitely. Miriam has literally thought of everything!

Response:I'm so glad your group enjoyed the cabins! I'm sorry about the propane tanks! I'll make a note to our cleaners, as there is supposed to be a full one in the storage cabins. Can I reimburse you for the propane?

Such a beautiful mountain home. Lots of fun games for kids, wonderful living space in and outside. We only stayed in the family room and found it super comfortable. The other rooms looked beautiful and cozy. Only issue was there were quite a bit of wasps outside but that’s just nature for you and not a reflection of the home. Truly loved our stay and would love to come back in the future to visit.
Response:Lindsey, thank you for your review! We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay. The wasps have a been a big challenge for all of North Idaho this year. Our exterminator is working hard to dissuade them from visiting the cabins, and we'll continue to provide spray and other deterrents for guests to use during their stay. Additionally, we are looking into installing some fans and misters with essential oils that are supposed to help deter this nuisance. We would love to welcome you back to the cabins!

This was our second week-long stay at the cabins. This place does not disappoint. You are surrounded by beautiful, quiet, peaceful forest. The cabins are so well maintained, both inside and out. The look, the furnishings and decor, the layout—it’s all perfect. Three years ago there was zero cell service at the cabins, and that was explained in the listing at the time. However, now there is great service—the provided Wi-Fi wasn’t even needed. During our stay, Verizon and T-Mobile had 5G service. The road up to the cabins, while steep, is easily doable in a car. We had a front wheel drive sedan in our party that had zero issues with navigating the road. Miriam is such a sweet person and responsive host. She’s the type of host you hope to get when booking a rental. Bear Creek Cabins is an undeniably amazing gem of a place to relax and make some incredible memories.

This cabin retreat was a wonderful place to get away and be in nature while still being close to amenities. It was beautiful, quiet and relaxing and had plenty of space for our family (with a lot of children) to run around and play. The outdoor pavilion area is covered which was very helpful as it rained during our stay. The outdoor camp oven does work but be aware it is hard to keep it to temp so it works best as a warming vessel. Miriam was a dream to work with, she was very responsive, willing to answer a multitude of questions, was flexible with our check in time, and inquired about our stay afterward.

Miriam's home was very peaceful and secluded. It was a perfect place to "get away", but close enough to towns/ grocery stores. There ended up being 10 of us in our group. There were enough beds for everyone, although if there were too many more people, I think the sleeping situation would have felt too cramped. The A/C in all of the rooms worked extremely well and was much appreciated. The outside area is where we spent all of our time, and we did probably 90% of our cooking outside. The gravel road up to the house is very steep and has a few tight turns. We were able to park our 2 trailers for the Jeep/ dirt bikes/ side-by-side at the bottom of the driveway and never worried about anyone getting into things.

Gorgeous location. Everyone got up the driveway fine. It's quite the climb. 😃 We all just hung out in the outdoor area. The outdoor kitchen was the best. We all had the best time cooking outside. The cabins were clean, and there's plenty of room in all of them. The locals were pretty friendly! Found a nice river not too far from the cabins. Overall, it was a great stay and a great time for all. I highly recommend this place. The host was awesome and quickly answered our few questions that we had. Took care of an issue immediately for us also.

Response:Thank you for the review Lisa! I'm thrilled that you and your group had a wonderful stay and that we were able to handle the issues that came up, promptly. Thank you for the great communication! We hope you'll consider returning in the future!

House Rules
Quiet Hours: 10 PM – 7 AM We love a good campfire singalong, but our neighbors (and the local wildlife) appreciate a little peace and quiet after dark. Please keep noise levels down between 10 PM and 7 AM so everyone—humans and critters alike—can enjoy a restful night in the mountains. Four-Legged Guests We welcome well-behaved dogs! Just give us a heads-up when booking so we know how many paws will be on-site. If your pup is a shedder, a couch surfer, or an enthusiastic greeter, please plan accordingly. Fire Safety First Campfires are for s’mores, stories, and stargazing—not for bonfires. Please keep flames manageable and fully extinguish fires before calling it a night. Mountain Road Etiquette Our winding mountain road is part of the adventure! Drive slow, stay alert for oncoming vehicles, and use the pullouts when needed. Whoever can safely stop should yield—because no one likes an unexpected game of mountain road chicken. Thanks for respecting the space and helping us keep Bear Creek Cabins a peaceful and welcoming retreat for all! ️
