The neighborhood outside the apartment had a lot of life within walking distances.

Bien situé, à côté de la plage et tout près du supermarché. Cependant, bruyant à cause du restaurant, mais ça se termine vers 11 heures. L’appartement est intéressant et bien équipé. Les moustiquaires ne ferment pas bien. On se sent chez soi assez rapidement merci!

wonderful apartment. Very close to the beach but in a quiet, peaceful location. Very comfortable bed, well stocked apt. Great patio. Alma was fabulous at making sure we had everything we needed.

Elevator speech: We really liked the apartment. Would we stay there again.... probably not.
The good:
The apartment was very large, with the living room/kitchen area separate from the bedroom. I could be in the kitchen making breakfast, and not disturb sleeping hubby. The kitchen was well equipped, with plenty of dishes, pots/pans, utensils, blender, coffee pot. There was even a tea kettle, which was nice, because I drink tea in the morning, not coffee. There was no toaster, but we just toasted bread in a frying pan. The A/C in the BR worked great. We never even turned on the A/C in the main area, even on the 80+ degree days, because we didn’t need it. There are large windows on all 4 walls, so the breeze & airflow was great, the entire time. The heavy curtains in the bedroom did a great job of blocking out the sun, in the morning. The best part of the apartment is the outdoor space!! It's huge! The apartment is above a popular restaurant, on the main street, which is currently closed to cars. (I hope it stays pedestrian only!) Most nights, we pulled the table & chairs to the edge of the roof, grabbed a drink, and people watched. The bathroom is at the far end of a hall, so very private. Water pressure was good, and we never ran out of hot water, even when we took showers right after each other. When we arrived, the shower was spraying everywhere, but a quick soak in some vinegar (which was in the cleaning supply closet) fixed it right up. Water flowed perfectly after that. (So many simple solutions to things people complain about!!) The beach towels that were provided threw us at first. They were thin, like tshirt material. Once we used them though, we loved them! They're microfiber, so super thin, light & easy to carry, and they dry very quickly. We loved them so much, we're buying some for the boat at home!
Now for the not so great...
Let me start by saying most of our negatives are entirely out of the owner’s control. They have nothing to do with the quality of the apartment, or the service they provided to us. Unfortunately, it did affect our stay though. It rained several days while we were there. The outdoor space is not covered, so we were stuck inside more than we would have liked. The outside is all tile, so after it rained it was VERY slippery. We also dragged water into the house, so that made the inside tile slippery. It would have been nice to have the deck at least partially covered. There were a lot of mosquitos & ants. We had to be meticulous about cleaning up all crumbs after cooking. We left some sweet bread in the cabinet one day, and had a swarm of ants. After that we left all food in the fridge. This is a tropical location, so bugs are to be expected!! You just have to work around them. The tv is in the bedroom, which was inconvenient when hubby wanted to watch a show, and I was ready for bed. A big issue for us was noise. Again, nothing in the owners control, but I feel like I need to mention it, for an honest review. There were 4 or 5 dogs right next door, that barked for HOURS. We also had some road construction to deal with. Last year, they tore out the road in front, and laid new stamped concrete. While we were there, they started work on the sidewalk. One morning, we woke to the sound of a jackhammer right outside our window, tearing out the sidewalk. They worked their way down the road, over the next few days, so the jackhammer noise got less & less. This is a temporary problem, until they get the street finished, but I've been told they are planning to do the other side of the street next. The stairs leading up to the apartment are very tall. They are maybe an 11 or 12" rise?? There is also no railing, so we took the stairs very slowly, every time. There are also a couple of stairs inside that tripped me up for the first couple of days. One into the bathroom, and one to the outside space. One thing we really missed was a pool. We knew there was no pool going into it, so that's on us. Being there for 2 weeks though, we underestimated how much we would miss having one. The beach chairs provided are not the Tommy Bahama style chairs. They're bag chairs, like you would take camping, and they're very small. We only used them once, and they were so uncomfortable, we ended up just paying for beach chairs every day. That was an expense we hadn't planned on.
Overall, we loved the apartment itself. The location is so close to the beach, restaurants, the town square, etc, it's very convenient. The noise & lack of a pool are really the main reasons we probably would not book it again.

I can't say enough good things about this place. This was our second year to stay there and I love everything about it. The location is amazing. The apartment itself is adorable. It's two blocks from the beach, so close that you don't even need to put shoes on. It's private, yet centrally located. Within walking distance to everything on the port side. The balcony overlooks the road for some of the best people watching you'll find. I will be back again and again.

Positif : L'emplacement ! Directement au centre de Puerto Morelos, sur la rue principale, à 3 min à pied de la plage. Belle terrasse sur le toit. Le logement est au dessus d'un restaurant qui reçoit des musiciens "live" chaque soir, donc cela permet d'en profiter !
Négatif : la propreté laisse à désirer... Le logement nécessiterait également plusieurs rénovations. La vaisselle, entre autre, était sale à notre arrivée. Il n'y a pas de pression d'eau dans la douche, mais il y avait de l'eau chaude. Le lit n'est pas un grand lit, mais bien deux petits lits collés un sur l'autre.
Si vous chercher un pied à terre pour passer du bon temps à l'extérieur à Puerto Morelos, c'est OK.

The unit is as described. It was clean and comfortable, but older and in need of some updates. The unit has a certain charm and I would call it condo camping. Communication was good with responses. There is a lot of stairs to get up, so definitely not for an older person. The water was difficult to pump out of the vessel by hand. The front door was extremely hard to get in and out of the 1st few days, so we had to ask someone to sand it down which they did immediately, but I was a little surprised that this was not taken care of before someones arrival. The person to communicate with, is a very kind lady, that works in a real estate office down bellow. This was found out by chance. And finally this unit is also right above a restaurant, that has pretty loud music playing till 9-10pm every night.
Otherwise great location. Very close to the town square and grocery store (5 min) and the same to the beach, if not closer.

Spacious and great location
We enjoyed the location of this apartment. Close to beach and restaurants. The restaurant below the apartment is very good with live music every night which we enjoyed listening to on the upper balcony. The biggest negative of our stay was the zero water pressure in the shower. Barely more then a fast drip. The apartment would be great with a little TLC, updating and new patio furniture with some plants.

We loved the apartment- layout and location. Required stairs (ok for us). The ac's worked great as well as multiple ceiling fans. Kitchen was functional and enough dishes and cookware. One side of the bed was a bit droopy for my husband. Had a safe for use. Also had camp style chairs, umbrella, cooler and beach towels. Florencia was very accommodating with early checkin and late checkout since there wasn't other guests to interfere with. Would def return.

Las fotografías todo lucía muy bien. Los aires acondicionados funcionan perfectamente; el baño es grande y estaba limpio. La playa queda cerca. OXXO está cerca y los restaurantes también. He estado en Cancún y Playa del Carmen, pero Puerto Morelos es mi favorito. Acerca del condo puedo decir que es una unidad para una pareja porque el 2do supuesto cuarto, es la cocina. Quisiera hacer mención sobre otras cosas: 1. El primer día me di cuenta que no funcionaba el agua caliente, pero inmediatamente Florencia llegó y resolvió el problema. 2. Se suponía que habría un sofá cama grande para mis 2 hijos ( le hice saber a Florencia, días antes de mi llegada que mis hijos eran muy altos) resulta que el sofá cama no fue suficiente grande ni para uno de ellos. Inmediatamente, Florencia me dijo que había una cama inflable (que no estaba limpia) Entonces lo que hice fue que junté el inflable y el sofá y así cupieron los dos. Resulta que el inflable a media noche ya estaba desinflado. Le hice saber a Florencia y lo arreglaron pero funcionó solo por una noche y así estuve Inflándolo todas las noches, hasta que nos vinimos. 3. La nevera no estaba limpia. 4. Los cojines de la sillas de la terraza estaban sucios, también fueron cambiados inmediatamente. 5. Las toallas estaban podridas. No habían ganchos en el closet para guindar las topa. 6. Los primeros días fuimos a unos paseos; al 4to día decidimos cocinar, fue cuando nos dimos cuenta que la campana de la cocina (extractor) está allí solo para decorar, el olor a comida estuvo e incluso a quemado estaba impregnando en toda la casa; de hecho al día siguiente, de la recepción (que está ubicada en planta baja) alguien entró (sin avisar y mi hija estaba durmiendo) porque pensaban que algo se estaba quemando. 7. Finalmente, en la publicación decía “strong internet”. En la única parte que funcionaba bien era en la terraza y la razón era porque venía del restaurante Taninos que está justamente al lado. Al 3er día pensamos en la posibilidad de movernos a otro lado y se lo planteamos a Florencia y ella estuvo de acuerdo en cargar sólo los dos días que habíamos dormido allí y devolvernos el resto del dinero e incluso en efectivo, cosa que me pareció muy consciente y honesto de su parte. Pero no pudimos conseguir nada por ser temporada alta.
Espero esta revisión sirva para mejorar las condiciones del condo.

J'ai trouvé votre appartement confortable, chaleureux et fonctionnel. On s'y sent très bien. J'ai adoré sa fenestration. La belle et grande terrasse est excellente pour vivre la chaleur extérieure que nous recherchons au Mexique. Sa proximité avec la mer est un plus important. D'autant que serviettes, chaises et parasol pour la plage sont fournis. L'accueil de Florencia est très sympathique et sa réactivité est remarquable.
La proximité de l'excellent restaurant TANINOS nous permet d'avoir des concerts chez-soi, les soirs ou nous ne mangeons pas au resto !!!
Merci pour le bon séjour dans ce village que j'aime beaucoup.
