The washer/dryer are in the closet outside by the carport. The door is unlocked but there is a small latch on the top. Should be self explanatory when you see it.

Almog was a great host and the house is so cute! It was in a great location that put us in walking distance to some of our favorite Austin spots like Patika and Loro. Perfect for a weekend in Austin to experience the cutest neighborhood.

We checked the water heater first thing in the morning, as we were notified quite late at night about the hot water issue. By morning, you had texted to tell us the hot water was back, and we still came by to make sure everything was sound to make sure there was no structural issues. As for the price adjustment, we honored your booking request to change the dates of your stay, as well as the price adjustment. Not only did we adjust your rate and took 2 nights off despite our firm cancellation policy, but this also occurred over a weekend during SXSW.

We chose this place at the last minute for the location near friends and for the flat, fenced backyard for our dogs. It is only one mile from Town Lake, which was great for taking a morning walk/run. Also, walkable to nearby restaurants and yoga. Nice neighborhood. Almog was responsive when we called about the wrong code for the lockbox. The exterior is rundown and the yard was overgrown when we arrived. The yard guys did come a few days after we checked in to mow. The mini-blinds are quite broken and the windows are dirty, but the rest of interior of the house was clean and the bed comfortable. I thought the price was way too high for what it was (much better in the photos). Maybe extra $ because the marathon was that weekend? And the cleaning fee was $250, which I thought was crazy high for such a small place. There is a For Sale sign out front, so I anticipate no property improvements, as this place will be torn down, which is happening in the rest of the neighborhood.

I can’t say enough about how amazing this place was. My wife and I were coming out for a visit to explore Austin with the plans to potentially move here. The place was perfectly central and very comfortable. We were able to hop on bikes and ride through the parks and into the city in less than 15 minutes. There are tons of Lime bikes and scooters within a few minutes walk so it’s really easy to find one and go wherever you want. It’s easy to walk to a bunch of restaurants in the area and right on the main strip in South Lamar. The place is well equipped with everything you need to cook and make yourself at home. On top of it all, our host was amazing, we ended up finding a place to move into, and he worked with us on the adjustment of dates which we really appreciate it. If you’re coming to Austin for a short or long stay, I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Located so close to everything, you can walk everywhere when the weather is nice. However, when the weather is hot, a quick Uber or Lyft will get you where you want. Scooters are another option, but discouraged due to safety concerns and lack of helmets. Most guests will have their own cars for the convenience.
