Spectacular views! This amazing chalet is located on the eastern side of Mt. Mitchell and has a connection to a very special environment that includes deer, bear, and a variety of other creatures and foliage. Located in Alpine Village Resort nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains only three miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, this rental offers tranquil, secluded surroundings with spectacular mountain views at 3,250 feet in elevation in an aura of warm hospitality.
Beautifully appointed cottage (half of a duplex townhome) with wood burning fireplace (sorry, we cannot supply firewood), TV in three rooms, & free wireless internet access. Fully furnished including a king bed in each room. Optionally, the guest room can be two XL-twin beds instead of a king upon request. All mattresses are memory foam.

Outstanding views from your private deck. Right out the front door, about 50 yards to edge of Pisgah National Forest is a trailhead to Mt. Mitchell and other interconnecting hiking trails.

Great trout fishing within a mile, Mt. Mitchell Golf course within 2 miles, and several national and state parks are nearby offering hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails throughout the mountains.

Full kitchen with most of the dishes, utensils, and appliances you need to cook and serve a meal and store the leftovers. A wide variety of drinkware is also provided. There are spices and oils in the cabinets for your use as well but availability can vary.

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day the clubhouse pool is available to guests.

Secure Internet password available upon check in in the app. Our internet speeds are 100 Mbps down by 6 Mbps up. This is more than sufficient for typical remote work and video conferencing.

The smart lock will be programmed with the last four digits of the phone number on your account. There is a lockbox with a key available if anything goes wrong or you prefer that method.

House Rules

No smoking or vaping of any kind inside the home. Cigarette butts should be properly and safely disposed of. No littering. No pets allowed. No exceptions. We have family members with severe allergies so we are very firm on this policy. Deep cleaning is very expensive and is necessary to remove the allergens. Maximum capacity is 8 people for gatherings and 4 people for overnight stays. No parties. No exceptions. No children under the age of 5 without prior arrangement. Simply put, this home is not child proofed at all and we want to ensure everyone’s safety. Quiet hours begin at 11PM each day. This home is noise monitored. You are responsible for cleaning the grill after each use. Please do not delay this any longer than is necessary for the grill to cool down. Food residues attract wildlife and we have had some property damage as a result. The pool is only for guests of Alpine Village. No exceptions. Parking is directly across from the unit. You are provided with two spaces in the gravel area right across from the front stairs. You are responsible for securing your personal belongings in the home. You are responsible for any and all damage you cause during your visit. If something gets damaged please just reach out to us. We understand things happen and we would appreciate the additional time your early warning provides. Violators will be subject to a $250 fine, any cleaning/repair expenses, and full payment for any lost reservations as a result of violating these policies.Not suitable for children and infantsNo smokingNo petsNo parties or eventsCheck-in is anytime after 4:00 PM

Refundable Damage Deposit

Owner reserves the right, at its discretion, to charge a security deposit at the time of Check-in in the amount of $500.00. This deposit will be refunded after Guest’s departure and an inspection of the Property, less any deductions for damage to the Property or furnishings, excessive mess requiring additional cleaning or other costs incurred outside the normal course due to Guest’s stay.
Alternatively, Guest may elect to purchase Travel Insurance independently. Proof of purchase will negate the need for a security deposit. More information can be found at: https://www.insuremytrip.com/

Cancellation Policy

Due to the nature of the vacation rental business, we cannot accept cancellations occurring later than 14 days to the arrival date. You will forfeit all sums paid unless we are able to re-rent the property, in which case we will refund an amount equal to any subsequent rental less a $100 handling fee. If a cancellation occurs prior to 14 days to arrival, full refund will be issued less a $100 handling fee.

It is highly recommended guest purchase trip cancellation/interruption insurance in case of family emergencies/bad weather delays, flight/rental car cancellations, job loss, snow/ice, Covid-19 bans/restrictions, etc. If you live in an area prone to hurricanes, forest fires, etc. and cannot make your trip, please seek reimbursement through your travel insurance.NO refunds are given unless there is a mandatory evacuation in our area. We have a dedicated 20A/110V outlet available on the front porch for charging vehicles. You will need to bring enough extension cord to reach )approx. 30'/10m).

If you choose to use the physical key in the lockbox instead of the smart lock, you must return the key to the lockbox before checking out. Lost or missing keys will result in a $100 charge for replacement.

This vacation home is located directly on a steep mountain ridge and there are hazards relative to staying in a mountain property. By the very booking of this listing, you acknowledge and agree to hold harmless the property owner, property representative or property owner's heirs in perpetuity from the result of any injury, death or incident of any kind by any fault, act or behavior of person or persons and guests thereof lodging or non-guest(s) at this property as a result of this offering or not a result of this offering, including but not limited to acts of God and or nature.
