My family spent our first ever thanksgiving in Beech Mountain at Bear Creek Lodge. We had a nice time together. We did encounter couple issues but Lauren was very quick to respond. She was definitely a super host, very informative and responded quickly to our concerns. On the day of our departure we were greeted by a 6 point Buck that came right up to us at the entrance. We hand fed him pieces of apple . What a grand finale!

We loved our stay! Our extended family enjoyed our annual Thanksgiving (we do it early) in the mountains. The house accommodated us perfectly. Lauren was very nice, gave very clear instructions and information. The house was everything the description said. Great place for family and friends!

Overall, we had a good stay. This place accommodated the size of our family. The outdoor space was spacious. Our family enjoyed the hot tub. Lauren was responsive when we had to contact her about an issue. The place could use a deep clean/ overall refresh or a more thorough clean between guest. Kitchen needed to be wiped down, their were shower toiletries left in the bathroom from the previous guest, and some of the bedding and bath towels were stained, rough, and scratchy. Toys were left from the previous guest. The basement couch was worn/uncomfortable, stained, and crumbs between the cushions. The loft pull out couch was broken and wasn’t usable, leaving a member of our party without a bed. Dishwasher isn’t anchored and fell out of place when opened creating a major hazard for our infant and toddlers. These were the bigger issues, but a walk though is needed. There are other minor issues that should be address. We would stay again, after a refresh/update.

The sleeper sofa is located in the basement, not in the loft. Regarding the cleanliness issues, we have taken immediate action by scheduling a deep clean with our cleaning team. We have also discussed your concerns with them to ensure that future guests will enjoy a clean environment. In addition, we have arranged for a skilled handyman to refasten the dishwasher in its proper place. Your feedback is important, and we thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention!

The place was beautiful! Wonderful place to stay with family, lots of space. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and exploring the creek! Lauren was very responsive with any questions we had. Would definitely recommend her place!

THIS PLACE!!! It was seriously worth it!! Loved the town down a little ways!! The views are absolutely gorgeous!! and the house plenty of room so pretty and the host were so kind and incredible!! Definitely will be planning a return trip!!

We had a absolute brilliant time at Lauren’s beautiful cabin, 100% a five star stay and worth every penny. We enjoyed the games room basement and hot tub for chilling out and listening to the creek. Nice and secluded although you are only a ten min drive to the town if you wanted to go to the shops/restaurants, it was lovely to see deer’s roaming around in the garden. Thanks again for a great stay Lauren we will definitely be back!

We met up with extended family at Bear Creek Lodge and had an amazing time. Pulling up to the house we were greeted by the babbling creek, great way to put you into relaxation mode. The house provided ample sleeping and recreation space for our 2 families. We had a few days with heavy rain and we were thankful for the pool and shuffle board tables. We enjoyed walking down the road and checking out some of the other streets nearby and found we could access some of the trails with a short walk down the main road. This was our first visit to Beech Mountain, be prepared for windy roads and lots of steep inclines when you're hiking. The younger kids in our group (ages 4-12) enjoyed the Falls Trail at Buckeye Recreation Center, Upper Falls trail by the Lake Coffee Recreation Area and fishing at Lake Coffee. Another stop that our teenager enjoyed was Holy Smokes BBQ, great food and a great view. We would reccomend Beer Creek to anyone looking for a family friendly getaway.

We had the pleasure to be able to bring our immediate family - 7 people and one Labrador - to this outstanding cabin on Beech Mountain. With the creek in the back yard and woods all around we felt like we were secluded and yet just a mile or so away you could pick up anything you left behind. Plenty of space within to spread out and relax. Highly recommend 👍🏻
