Our Favorite Coffee Place, Carolina Coffee & Crumbs!

The first thing you do when you marry a morning person who is also a coffee lover is to try to find a reason to BE a morning person, and also find a coffee to love.

I gotta tell you, both of those took me YEARS to achieve. Finding out that my coffee loving, morning loving husband is also a BEACH lover? Well, that was something I could fall right in line with.

So, one of our favorite things to do every morning on the island is to get up with the sun, grab our sandals and head to the coffee shop. Like I said, it took me YEARS to become a coffee drinker, and if I'm gonna drink coffee, it has to be something GOOD. Something made with heart and love, not coffee from a can, and certainly not coffee from (insert name of Big Box Coffee Store here.)

And that's why we LOVE Carolina Coffee & Crumbs.

The moment you walk in you feel welcomed. From the calming blue decor, to the adorable kid's nook in the corner, you know you've come to THE place to make all your caffeinated dreams come true.

We're simple coffee drinkers. I always order a latte, and Steve almost always has "what she's having." He's pretty easy that way, and I love him for it. Sometimes in the summer we'll double back for an iced coffee, which is usually something in the neighborhood of caramel or mocha (for that afternoon sweet tooth craving.)

We grab our coffees, then walk across the street and take a relaxing beach walk.

Sometimes, Steve even manages to get me up early enough to catch an amazing sunrise.

Summer sunrises are warm & golden...

Winter sunrises are calm & cool........
