My husband and I have owned and operated our cottage as a vacation rental property since April 2012. We fell in love with the property and it's beautiful view of Fairholme Lake and wanted others to experience what it has to offer. Fairholme Lake is quiet clean and the offers a view of Crown Land.

“The whole booking process was smooth”
It was an awesome cottage with everything available for us. Honestly it was beyond our expectations. Very beautiful and comfortable. I specifically admire all the hints, guides and the effort to try to make the stay easier and more comfortable for the guests ...
The kitchen was fully equipped with all utensils and even some ingredients.
The landscape was very beautiful and the lake and dock were amazing. The sunrise was very breathtaking and I still miss it. The Beds were very comfortable and we had a peaceful sleep. The bathroom and washrooms were very neat and beautiful with lots of sanitary products available for us.
There was a large collection of books/dvds in case someone wanted to entertain. There was an abundance of logs and wood for burning. The cottage was warm and comfy with a smart HVAC system.
Overall I was very satisfied with our stay and would definitely suggest that to others and it was well worth the amount we paid for, although it was just the two of us. Most probably I will be back there again in summer or spring. Above all, the owner was very respectful and always communicated on time and organized, and the whole booking process was smooth; Thank you Kristina

“This cottage was a fabulous little haven for us to destress and enjoy time together”
Our week at the cottage couldn't have been better. Our hosts provided lots of information, the cottage was super well equipped and even the weather cooperated most days! Our family enjoyed so much time at the water fishing, kayaking around the lake and swimming right off the dock. The lake is quiet and never felt loud or busy. On the day it rained, we were comfortable inside with plenty of board games and movies to pass the time together. The friendly squirrels, chipmunks and hummingbirds became familiar and we enjoyed our coffee on the deck daily with them nearby. This cottage was a fabulous little haven for us to destress and enjoy time together as a family. Thanks for a great week - we hope to come back again soon!

“The kids had a great time with the kayaks and paddle boat, and canoeing over to the jumping rock”
Thank you for the use of your beautiful cottage, Kristina. We had a wonderful time again this summer! Your cottage was clean and very comfortable for the seven of us. We thoroughly enjoyed the screened in room in the mornings for reading with a cup of coffee or tea and the dock in the afternoon. The kids had a great time with the kayaks and paddle boat, and canoeing over to the jumping rock. Your neighbours are lovely too and we enjoyed chatting with them. It was nice to see the local wildlife from the sound of the loons, watching a blue heron land in the bay, the raccoon who stopped by one evening, and the humming bird who visited each morning. Thank you!

“Already looking forward to next year!”
We go up in the fall every year - this year was as good as any other. The location is fantastic; it's easily accessible by car, yet once there feels very remote. The cottage is comfortable, clean and has all the necessary amenities. It's an idyllic setting that feels very serene. Morning coffee is my moment of zen, whether at the kitchen table or out on the deck with a fantastic view of the lake (made even better when you catch the morning mist rising off Fairholme lake on a sunny morning). Canoeing the lake is a great way to unwind and unplug from technology. We REALLY appreciate there is a canoe (and kayaks!) available for use. Fall is a great time to go with the lake very quiet and trees starting to show their colours. Already looking forward to next year!

“Go stay you won't regret it! ”
days and didn't think this one would compare! We were wrong. It has everything you need it is clean comfy and beautiful. The deck, dock awesome unfortunately because of the time of the year we didn't use a lot of the outdoor amenities! But we had the best weather and a panoramic view of autumn. Definitely would recommend to young and old we celebrated our 45 th Anniversary it was the best!
Kristina was available for any queries! Go stay you won't regret it! Really didn't want to leave.

“Great for bird watching ”
My family and I (4 adults and 2 golden retrievers) stayed at Fairholme Lake Cottage for 3 nights. We loved the waterfront property with pristine waters and lots of quiet and privacy. We brought our own paddleboards but also used the 3 person canoe. They also have kayaks, pedal boat and life jackets.

The house is very comfortable. The all wood interior gives it a very rustic and cozy feeling. There have evidently been small renovations made throughout time which adds a bit of extra comfort - for example the bathroom upstairs which has a double sink, rain shower and other modern fixtures. We were also able to enjoy cooking together in the large kitchen, play board games at night and watch a couple of movies. The best feature of the house is definitely the large terrace (gated, thoughtfully for dogs) and the sun room which is a covered and netted extension of the living room but which allows you to be outside from inside the house. The house is great for bird watching which is evident in the bird seed provided by the owners on the terrace, honey for humming birds and binoculars for guests to observe with.

The cottage overall has everything needed for a comfortable stay and my only regret is not staying for longer! I will definitely look to book a longer stay next time.

“ Beyond our expectations”
It was an awesome cottage with everything available for us. Honestly it was beyond our expectations even with mother nature not fair to us during our stay as it did rain half of our stay, but the cottage had everything for us to enjoy our time specially with vast selection of movies and board games.
We appreciated the spaces, trees, birds, squirrels without forgetting our nightly friend the racoon that came right to the deck to say hello.
The sun room was great when it was raining or at night, like being outside but dry and free of mosquitos
The kids enjoyed swimming and exploring the little islands like pirates,
This was such a great experience for our family and surely we will be booking again for next year. Thanks Kristina

“ Slice of paradise”
We had the most wonderful stay at Kristina's cottage to kick off our summer! The cottage is a perfect mix of feeling modern while still maintaining a cozy, cottage vibe. The inside is immaculate and has absolutely everything you need for your stay. The outside deck offers perfect views of the lake and was our morning spot for breakfast and coffee. We spent the majority of our time on the wonderful lake dock that was perfect for reading in the sun, swimming and enjoying happy hour! The lake itself is beautiful, probably one of the most peaceful and quiet lakes we've stayed on. Our top highlights were daily kayaking to explore the lake and the nightly beaver crossings around 7 pm. One night we were treated to watching the beaver quite close to the dock while he chewed the bark off a branch. We highly recommend this cottage and would love to stay again in the future! Thank you Kristina and family for sharing your little slice of paradise! M & D

“I would definitely go back. 5 stars!”
I stayed at the cottage from July 8 through 15, 2023. It was exactly what I wanted the cottage experience to be: a beautiful view of the lake from the deck and living and dining room, lots of trees, private, and clean. The kitchen is spacious, the living area is cozy, and the upstairs washroom is big, modern, and clean. We took the canoe and 2 kayaks out on the lake for an hour on a couple of the days, and otherwise just hung out on the dock, on the deck, and in the dining and living room areas, just taking in the relaxing vibe of the surroundings. I would definitely go back. 5 stars!

“Wonderful stay”
My friends and I stayed at the Cottage from Sept 29 through Oct. 1 2023.
We had most wonderful stay at Kristina's cottage. We fell in love with this cottage.
The decor was so amazing and being surrounded by nature was pure magic. The cottage is very spacious,cozy,comfortable and clean.
Our days were filled with adventures in the woods, relaxing on the deck with amazing view of the lake, and our evening by the Firepit.
Morning and afternoon coffe with the lake view from the deck is breathtaking.
It's a place we'll cherish forever.
Our only regret is not staying for longer. We will definitely look to book a longer stay next time..
Thank you Kristina for exceptional hospitality, kindness, and wonderful atmosphere you have created.

Kristina's cottage is the perfect balance of modern amenities and cottage charm. The wood stove is super cozy on cooler fall nights (when we were there) and the bright windows let in lots of light and an amazing view of the lake! I went with 5 other guests and we all found the beds to be super comfortable. Kristina was quick to reply to messages and check in was super easy. Location is beautiful and close enough to amenities. I would recommend this place to anyone and hope to return again with my family.

“Wonderful stay”
