In order to stay at this Glamping Cabins Resort, we require that you sign a liability waiver (available in the Commons Area Lounge when checking in).

PLEASE READ BELOW TO MAKE SURE WERE A PERFECT VACATION FIT FOR YOU:

Commons Area Lounge is centrally located between all 5 of our cabins and has WIFI, AC Power, Full Kitchen, dry food storage, dining/lounging spaces, local info, extra blankets/games/books. BBQ is around the corner and is also shared among all the guests.

The bathroom requires a short 1-minute walk to an enclosed outdoor bathroom.

Solar shower facility is available and depends largely on the weather conditions. It is outdoors, which means that THE SHOWER HEATS UP FROM THE SUN. You must be flexible as the sunshine and the weather dictate your ability to take a hot shower (we understand that its not for everyone, but its one of the minor concessions that we endure while getting to live here.)

Being in the mountains, we share the space with beautiful and wild animals such as deer, elk, and bear. Bugs, flies and the occasional mouse might drop by to say hello too. We do our absolute best to make sure you wont see them. However, If even the prospect of the sight or sound of the occasional bug or mouse puts a burr under your saddle, we kindly suggest that you book a chain hotel in the big city of Missoula.

Basically, this isnt your standard Holiday Inn chain hotel experience, in this space and on this property youll be reminded of the simplicity of life, the stillness of nature and the pureness of your routine being dictated by the sun.

If youre a nature lover who is looking to ditch the city and get away into the woods for a while, while stargazing, hiking, and frolicking through the woods with your pup, we cant wait to host you at The Hohnstead Glamping Cabins Resort in Bonner, Montana.

Your friendly hosts,
Alla and Garrett

Great get away spot
We came from a neighboring town to "get away" for a couple of days. Our time spent there was peaceful and recharging. The hosts do a great job of welcoming you, providing you with activities for your stay and making sure all your needs are met during your stay. We will be back!

“Cozy and pet friendly indeed”
I really enjoyed my stay with my dog. Very peaceful and quiet with plenty of fresh air and views. We stayed for over a week and I had to take several cold showers. That might be a deal breaker for some but its honestly not that bad. You might get a hot shower at a hotel butcha won't ever get the serenity this place has.

The best stay ever! I love everything about this place! Fun walk to the water hole and the point! Staying at the Shed for the second time is well worth it if you’re going into Missoula and or Seeley Lake during the day time and need a peaceful place to rest after doing a river float or camping in the woods! Refreshing shower and hot tub experience in the woods with stars above you! Can’t wait to visit again! Thank you!

Great host
I just want to say that my wife and I really loved staying here over our long weekend. It was really nice and cozy. It was everything we needed and wanted. I would come back for another trip and will probably do that in the near future. I hope this helps people see how great this little place is. Thanks Trevor

This place was everything that was promised and more. I stayed a few days to get a bit of work done after a wedding I was in town for ,and it was super remote, but close to great hiking and fishing spots. I don't know if my dogs or I enjoyed the stay more! Garrett was super cool and patient about answering questions describing some of the projects and work they have done. Have already recommended to other friends.

Don't be an a$$hole, stay here! Seriously, this place is great. It is close to everything and secluded. It is quiet. Peaceful. Come here to meditate, do hikes or finish your great American novel you know you want to write. This is not a private equity db owned ABNB. Garett and Alla are awesome hosts and want you to have an authentic interaction with nature. I highly recommend it.

Meet The Host

Hey! We're Garrett and Alla and we're excited to host you at the Hohnstead!
When we're not designing the next Scavenger Hunt for our guests, sharing stories by the campfire, or hanging out in the hot tub, Garrett loves to brew beer, play hockey, and lift weights, while Alla loves to do yoga, photograph The Hohnstead and its visitors, and brew Kombucha (flavor of the moment Hibiscus-Lavender). Together we built the Hohnstead from the ground up, creating the jobs and lifestyle we love and we're excited to share with you, helping you to Reconnect to Nature and to each other!
