The water is clean and great for swimming, kayaking, boating. The air temps are 10-16 degrees cooler at night than Atlanta and 5 to 10 degrees cooler during the day.

Enjoy uninterrupted sunrise and sunset views of water and mountains from a premium location on Lake Chatuge. Book direct & save. The property covers the entire point so it feels secluded, yet oh-so-convenient! Located 2.4 miles from Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Pickleball courts, and half mile from the grocery store and downtown Hiawassee.

The well-appointed suite on the first floor includes a spacious bedroom with 2 queen beds. Sleep well in 100% cotton sheets, which are laundered with unscented detergents and no added chemicals from fabric softeners. The private, attached bathroom is ensuite and is equipped with a shower.

Entry to the suite is lakeside, giving you your own entrance. The suite also includes large den with 3 plush leather reclining sofas, an eating/game table, and a 60-inch smart TV. (We offer live TV via ATT Direct stream, plus other ad-free streaming apps: Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.)

In the dry kitchenette area are:
-countertop convection oven/toaster
-mid-sized refrigerator w/small freezer
-microwave
-Keurig and drip coffee makers, french press, pour over and an electric kettle. (Coffee, teas, sweeteners and creamers are provided.)
-wine opener and cheese board
-coffee mugs, wine glasses, plates, bowls and silverware.

The kitchenette will be serviced daily so you always have clean tableware.

Outdoor on your expansive patio is a 36-inch Blackstone grill, grilling utensils and a large prep station with running water. Also on the patio is a gas fire pit, zero gravity chairs, porch swing for two - just right for sunrise coffee, plus an outdoor dining table and chairs.

The large patio is partially covered so you can stay out of the sun - or not! There's always a nice, constant breeze due to our location on the point, so don't miss relaxing in the double hammock as you read a book or just take a nap.

The dock is only a few steps from the patio. Guests may use the dock, grill, two GoBoats, two kayaks, life vests, stand-up paddleboard, beach towels, and water floats.

Either Mike or Peggy, the owners, will be upstairs, and can offer tips on the local area, but our goal is to be as unobtrusive as you want. Although we are on-site, we will interact only as needed. We respect your privacy but welcome meeting new people too. Your space is on the first floor, connected by a set of stairs which is open (no door), so while you may hear us moving about, you won't see us unless we are outside.

The pricing will include a required 8% City of Hiawassee tax and Georgia/County Sales and Use tax of 7%.

Kids who are good swimmers are age-appropriate for our space. Younger children are not recommended mostly because we are concerned about safety around the water, which is steps away from the door.

Mike and I have been married for 31 years, like to get outdoors, meet new people, and have fun! Mike is retired from the construction field and is a true McGuyver, Peggy is retired from the public relations field. Our hobbies include scuba, motorcycles and boating and restful activities such as reading. We look for inspiration and kindness and feel blessed beyond measure. We are constantly making updates to the space to make it more convenient and comfortable for guests, family and friends. For years we called our home(s) the "Gardner hotel" and then got the lake house and in 2016 and decided to make it official. So we treat it seriously but don't take ourselves seriously.

Our address is 460 Admirals Point, Hiawassee Ga 30546. Please provide an ETA on day of arrival. Park next to the white Dodge Ram truck. Hosts will meet you upon arrival.

No pets

Minimum age limit for renters: 21

Renters must be above 21. Third party bookings (people who book for others) acknowledge they are fully responsible for any damages incurred.

Maximum occupancy: 4

Only registered guests are allowed to stay overnight on the property. Any other visitors must be pre-approved by the owners. The maximum number of guests is four persons (this includes infants and children). No pets allowed. Not following these requirements can result in an immediate cancellation of your reservation with no refund.

House Rules

House rules are simple: no smoking or vaping anywhere on the property, no parties, no animals, no unregistered guests, no visitors unless previously approved by Mike or Peggy. Maximum reservation is 4 people. Violation of any house rule is cause for immediate cancellation of the stay.

The top floor of the house and top deck are not available for guests' use. Guests should not get in, or on, our pontoon or jet-ski, but are welcome to use the dock and kayaks.

Payment Policy

Payment options also include Venmo Business. One hundred percent of fees and taxes, plus a signed rental agreement must be received to confirm a reservation.

Refundable Damage Deposit

Waived as long as credit cardholder agrees that ALL members of the rental party (and any visitors) will have read the house rules and the cardholder agrees to be responsible for any damages above normal wear and tear. Please let us know if you prefer to pay a $300 damage deposit instead.

Cancellation Policy

Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, provided the check-in date is at least 14 days away. Cancellations after 48 hours and before 14 days of arrival are fully refunded less the 4% admin fee. Cancellations 14 days to one week in advance is a 50% refund. Cancellations one week or less to arrival are not refunded unless the nights are rebooked, less a $50 fee.

Notes

Note, all Guests will hold harmless the Owners for any injury, loss or illness during their stay. Any person on/in the property connected to the guest is the sole responsibility of the guest. This house is privately owned, the Owners are not responsible for any accidents, illnesses, injuries or loss that occurs on the property. By accepting this agreement, guests acknowledge and accept responsibility for their safety in, or around, the lake, when using kayaks/floats or other water toys, plus when swimming not only for themselves but also anyone else in their group. Guests also agree not to get in, or on, owners' boat or jet ski.
Any damages above normal wear and tear will be the financial responsibility of the person who booked.

Violation of any house rule is cause for immediate cancellation of the stay.
Any litigation will be held in Towns County, GA.
