Commons Area Lounge is centrally located between all 5 of our cabins and has WIFI, AC Power, Full Kitchen, dry food storage, dining/lounging spaces, local info, extra blankets/games/books. BBQ is around the corner and is also shared among all the guests.
The bathroom requires a short, slightly steep 1-minute walk to an enclosed outdoor bathroom.
Solar shower facility is available and depends largely on the weather conditions. It is outdoors, which means that THE SHOWER HEATS UP FROM THE SUN. You must be flexible as the sunshine and the weather dictate your ability to take a hot shower (we understand that its not for everyone, but its one of the minor concessions that we endure while getting to live here.)
Being in the mountains, we share the space with beautiful wild animals such as deer, elk, and bear. Bugs, flies and the occasional mouse might drop by to say hello too. We do our absolute best to make sure you wont see them. However, If even the prospect of the sight or sound of the occasional bug or mouse puts a burr under your saddle, we kindly suggest that you book a chain hotel in the big city of Missoula.
Basically, this isnt your standard Holiday Inn chain hotel experience, in this space and on this property youll be reminded of the simplicity of life, the stillness of nature and the pureness of your routine being dictated by the sun.
If youre a nature lover who is looking to ditch the city and get away into the woods for a while, while stargazing, hiking, and frolicking through the woods with your pup, we cant wait to host you at The Hohnstead Glamping Cabins Resort in Bonner, Montana.
Your friendly hosts,
Alla and Garrett

Based on your preference, we can either greet you and show you around our property, or youre welcome to self check in and discover the property on your own (there are helpful signs everywhere).

This is a family plot of 100+ acres. We do have four other cabins strategically located on the property (~75 yards apart). This is a remote location, yet only 2 miles from Blackfoot River, 10 miles from Kettlehouse Brewery and Amphitheater (check out their awesome concerts!), 11 miles from a gas station that literally has it all, and 25 minutes to Missoula.
* $30 PER PET cleaning fee / entire stay (2 dogs max please)
* Your dog is your responsibility. Staying at a pet-friendly place, we hope that your dog is well trained and well behaved to interact with other guests, dogs as well as the hosts.
* While youre able to prepare coffee and tea on the included propane kitchen stove in your cabin, there is a strict NO OUTDOOR FIRE Policy on this property. Montana is always just a single spark away from forest fires, reduced air quality and ashy ruins. Please help us avoid that.
* This property is unsafe for children. Its a safety issue.
* Guests are required to sign the liability waiver located in the commons area in order to stay with us.

Meet The Host
When we're not designing the next Scavenger Hunt for our guests, sharing stories by the campfire, or hanging out in the hot tub, Garrett loves to brew beer, play hockey, and lift weights, while Alla loves to do yoga, photograph The Hohnstead and its visitors, and brew Kombucha (flavor of the moment Hibiscus-Lavender). Together we built the Hohnstead from the ground up, creating the jobs and lifestyle we love and we're excited to share with you, helping you to Reconnect to Nature and to each other!
