Ward's Grill is located on Main Street, in downtown Saluda; it is connected to Thompson's Store, which is the oldest grocery store in North Carolina. Breakfast and lunch are served daily from 7-3. May - October, the diner is open on Sundays 11-4. This is a 50's style diner, serving homemade desserts, milkshakes, and standard diner fare. They are famous for their CJ burger, which is a mixture of beef and "Charlie's sage sausage." Definitely stop in, especially if you are visiting the Gorge Zipline, or Green River Adventures in Saluda. This is where the locals eat!

The Purple Onion in downtown Saluda, is about a 30 minute drive from A Touch of Luxury Cabin. Certain evenings, the restaurant has live music; check their music calendar to purchase tickets. They are open daily for lunch and dinner. The Purple Onion in Saluda serves appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizza, and dinner entrees; gluten free and vegan options are also available. With the exception of Saturday nights, (which is first come, first serve) lunch and dinner reservations can be made online. The Purple Onion offers both outdoor and indoor dining.

This is a great place to have breakfast, before heading out to the Gorge Zipline, or kayaking at Green River Adventures in Saluda. Their lunch menu has a variety of salads, sandwiches, and wraps. The Wildflour Bakery has been in business for 37 years. Wednesday and Friday are pizza nights, where they serve pizza from 5-8 p.m. On Sundays, they offer a limited brunch menu, in addition to the regular menu. Stop in to pick up fresh bread loaves, and desserts to take home with you. Be sure to check their website for hours, as they change daily. Locals love this place!
