Calvert's Kitchen in Columbus, NC is 20 minutes from A Touch of Luxury Cabin. This is your basic, small town restaurant serving country food, and standard diner fare. Mon-Sat they are open for lunch and dinner; Sundays they are closed. This is a great place to stop for lunch, when heading towards Interstate 26. The food comes out quickly, and prices are very reasonable. Locals rave about their chicken livers and seafood.

Remote is in the bowl on the coffee table. Be sure everyone reads through this before turning on the tv. 1. Always aim the remote at the sensor to the left of the bookshelf when doing any function, including turning tv on and off. Just stand near the coffee table and it will work fine. No need to stand very close to the sensor.

There are two bear proof trash cans at the end of your driveway. Feel free to use these during your stay if the kitchen trash compactor gets full. Otherwise, housekeeping will take care of emptying the trash compactor after you leave.
