I can't say enough good things about our stay at the Barefoot Bungalow! We took our 18mo on her first vacation and this could not have been a better place to stay. Lauren had a pack-n-play, highchair booster seat, even utensils, books and so many beach toys! all provided that made packing all the baby gear a lot lighter! SO thoughtful for families with a little one. We also brought our mothers, so there were 4 adults and a toddler in the house and it fit our needs perfectly. Everyone had their own space and the communal area was just perfect for us all to snuggle up on the comfy couch together. The house was VERY clean and all the towels and linens smelled fresh. AC worked GREAT! Situated in the PERFECT part of Port A, right in town, 2 blocks from the beach, walking distance to everything, but why walk when you have access to the awesome golf cart!! What a treat! Lauren was very responsive and helpful and could not have been a better host. We LOVED our stay and will be back! Thank you!

Our family of five had a great time on our first visit to Port Aransas. A huge reason for that was due to the help and responsiveness of Lauren and how perfectly Barefoot Bungalow met our family’s needs. We all loved the beach toys and boards available for our use. The convenience of having the golf cart on site and ready for our use couldn’t be beat. Lauren let me know as soon as the housekeeper left so we were able to checkin a little early. The bungalow was stocked with everything (and more) we needed for our four night stay. Overall, the place was clean, relatively quiet, had a great location for beach access, and was perfect for our TX getaway.

Thanks for such a great stay! The temperature controlled plunge pool was perfect and having the golf cart there and ready was great! The place was clean and the beds were comfy. We had everything we needed-you all though of everything ! We got to see the eclipse and even went to Texas State Aquarium one day. I would definitely star there again!

We had some issues that we feel are worth noting. The golf cart had a flat tire. We fixed it and balanced the others. It also had cigarette butts in it- bird droppings on seats. The pool was dirty, had chunks of hair floating around it. The patio was nice but the furniture was dirty. There’s a security camera just outside of the pool/patio and the green light was on often as we sat in the patio/pool area, which made it uncomfortable for us at times. Towels- seemed clean but had long dark hair in most of them. Sheets in some beds didn’t seem clean- same dark hair. Beds should be stripped after every rental. Owner asked just to leave unmade. Bottles etc rolled to the right in the refrigerator, doors and cabinets opened or closed on their own. Level issue I guess. Main Bedrooms- only enough room for one person to walk around. Parking- house sleeps 10 but only allowed two cars. So some of our family unfortunately didn’t come. Attention to detail- was lacking but a nice place

Cleanliness of our home, golf cart and the pool is very important to us and we apologize if things were missed. Please know that we ask guests to leave beds unmade upon check out so they don’t have to worry about it as our cleaners come in and wash all sheets after each guest. The green light on the security camera you referenced is an indicator that the camera is functioning and capturing motion, which is why one would see it come on while in the driveway area. Guest experience is important to us and we hope to have another chance to host you.

We had a wonderful time at Lauren’s place! Everything was exactly as described and then some. She even thought of all the little things that someone may forget on their trip, and the closet was well stocked with beach chairs, toys, games for the little ones etc.. Having the use of the 6 person golf cart really was the cherry on top.. Also the kitchen was SOOO well stocked for those who want to prepare their own food.. We will definitely be back!

“EVERYTHING you could need!”

We enjoyed our stay at Barefoot Bungalow. It was exactly as listed. What was great was it was essentially 2 blocks from the beach. The golf cart was another great amenity since it came with the rental whereas many rental places charged nearly $200 per day for one. Also several great restaurants in the area!

Charming location and decorated perfectly for the beach vibe. All the amenities that would be needed are right there for you. Super close, 2 minute golf cart drive, to the beach. Our second time staying and would definitely come back for a third and more! Thanks for sharing your home with us for a fun weekend away!
