I have loved Maine since I was a little girl and spent many summers traipsing around Mount Desert Island, playing in the surf, and hiking just about every mountain peak. I moved here full time after I retired a couple of years ago. Best thing I've ever done, and I can't wait to share the wonders of Acadia National Park with my guests.

Did you know that every day the equivalent of 27,000 trees is either flushed down the toilet or ends up in a landfill? This contributes to deforestation, which causes habitat loss, soil erosion, and other environmental problems. You can help by going treeless. Bamboo is fast-growing and uses much less water than trees, and cuts down on the damage to our boreal forests. Even better, try reusable cloth versions of paper products such as paper towels and dusters.
