This place was just as magical as the photos, and it was the perfect place to relax and unwind during the holidays. We reached out to the owners prior to visiting, because we were worried about any recent hurricane damage, but they were very responsive and little to no damage affected our stay. My kids loved exploring the property, and enjoyed feeding the many fish in the pond. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed cooking and eating as a family at the large dining room table (also great for family board games!) Beds were super comfy, and the porch swing was lovely to sit on with a glass of wine in the evening. Overall, a wonderful stay and wonderful hosts!

The mountain house was perfect for our family. It's nestled amongst the trees that created a sense of total seclusion and tranquility. The home was close to many great towns and activities to include an apple orchard 10 min away. The outside was so charming with the live edge and cedar shingles, while the interior was the perfect blend of rustic elegance. The kitchen was fully equipped which made preparing meals a joy. Family gatherings and meals around the spacious dining table were so much fun. The bedrooms were super comfortable, well laid out, and had great linens . The kids loved being together in the bunk room. We enjoyed all this home had to offer to include walking the trails on the expansive property ,creeks, the stocked trout pond, and fires in the outdoor and indoor locations. This home was truly a place where you can unplug and unwind immersed in the beauty of all the thoughtful details. This property was the getaway our family needed. We can't wait to come back.

This place is beyond magical. The photos are beautiful but they do not capture the beauty of this place!! I don't believe I have ever been more relaxed then here at the Sanctuary!! I am just blown away at it's charm and beauty!!

Photos do not due justice to this peaceful and amazing sanctuary . At every turn there is another wonderful surprise, from the extensive plantings to the hidden gnomes scattered throughout the property. The hiking trails .... there is something for everyone from flat easy leisurely strolling to those that offer a bit more of a challenge. The Farmhouse has all the conveniences of home. A great kitchen, a huge dining room and table with lovely table dressings, bedrooms are large and beautifully appointed with out being fussy. That is a theme here, everything is well thought out and very comfortable, first class, but not pretentious. You are at home from the moment you arrive. Thank you Ashlie and Steve, I look forward to many more magical visits.
