Ivy Cove is located in the The Soundings neighborhood; a family community designed exclusively for boating enthusiasts. The placid waters of Mill Creek, which is considered one of the finest natural harbors available from Chesapeake Bay. Only ten minutes by boat to the Patuxent River and Chesapeake Bay, yet, when you look out over the waters of Mill Creek you have the feeling that you are on the pine-wooded shores of a beautiful Northern Lake.

A newly renovated waterfront cottage with a warm charming appeal capture the unique features of this 1965 home. Take in the beautiful view of Brooks Cove, an inlet off of Mill Creek, from the large wrap around porch while enjoying the morning sunrise. Spend your afternoons kayaking around the creek inlets and the evenings relaxing by the fire pit watching the bald eagles sore over the cove. Or take a short ride to beautiful Solomon’s Island.. For breath-taking sunsets visit Solomon’s Pier, or take a stroll down the boardwalk to Cone Island.

KJ we had an amazing time swimming, kayaking, fishing and crabbing!! We had a lovely dinner, kj had a large crab pot to cook the large bounty of crabs we caught. Was such a great and peaceful vacation. The house was pristine, loved drinking my coffee on the pouch and had a great time at night watching shooting stars by the campfire.

This was a perfect getaway for our extended family. Our in-laws appreciated the walk-in shower and our kids enjoyed the video games and pinball machine. We made s’mores in the fire pit, caught over 20 crabs, and took the kayaks for a spin. KJ was a great host and took care of everything we needed. We’d come back in a heartbeat- I’m vying for the high score in pinball!

My wife was particularly pleased with how spotlessly clean Ivy Cove was. My son (22) was particularly eager to use the game room, which included 3 slot machines, a Wurlitzer juke box, pinball game, and a video game machine. Those were all in incredible condition and a lot of fun (especially pinball and the juke box). The outside deck and “beach” (pea gravel) area are the real standouts. The amount of wildlife watching from either of those is like Dr. Doolittle. We met KJ and his dog Murphy, both were great. For this area, the home was a great find and place to stay.

Beautiful Home, Great Location
Just completed a week stay at this property. The group consisted of myself, wife, 20 year old son, 17 year old daughter, and her 18 year old friend. All in the group enjoyed themselves. The house itself was beautiful and had everything that was needed for a comfortable stay. The master bed was a bit firm for me, but that is no knock on the bed, it was a quality mattress. There was plenty to do inside with TV's and games in the basement, but we spent little time in the house. The deck on the second floor was our favorite place. I took my morning coffee, we read books, talked, and ate all of our meals out there. The view of the cove was spectacular. My wife enjoyed walking around and taking pictures of the flora and fauna on the property. During the day we kayaked and fished. The fishing was not action packed, but fun enough. Caught some puppy drum, white perch, croaker, and spot. Had a snakehead following the lure but he would not commit. Taking the kayaks out to explore the cove and the neighboring coves was fun. the water was generally flat and not too much boat traffic. The girls enjoyed spending the afternoon floating in a double tube we brought with us tied up to the dock. The jelly fish were not too bad and caused no issues. We were greeted each morning by a beautiful Northern Water Snake which would swim past the dock and then come back each evening. Wonderful coloring on him. There were birds galore to watch and listen to as well.

Absolutely beautiful setting with KJ’s Airbnb! Whether you enjoy being on the dock, around the fire pit, on the deck - your views of the creek and the surrounding beauty is unmatched. We loved the wildlife - seeing deer, otter, not to mention birds galore. We also had a great time out on the kayaks padding around - beautiful! The home was perfect for our family of 5 - lots of room for folks to take a break, read, use binoculars, and more. We look forward to another visit - couldn’t have asked for more.

Fantastic
My family had a wonderful stay at Ivy Cove. We were in town for our niece’s wedding and it was close enough to participate in all family activities but far enough away to be a peaceful haven to relax. The house is beautiful. Beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the fire pit and game room. The owner was fantastic. We would absolutely stay again in this amazing home.

We stayed in this home for 3 weeks while in town for work. It was everything the pictures and descriptions would lead you to believe. The house was in great shape and clean when we arrived and KJ was flexible and communicated from start to finish. The house was also close to plenty of restaurants. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future.

Fantastic property and host!
The property is exactly how it's pictured except the pictures don't do the recent renovations justice. The tilework in the bathrooms, the outside decking and hardscape, and the wood floors throughout were absolutely beautiful. The house was stocked with towels, linens, and kitchenware. We just needed to go to the grocery store and we were set! KJ even had it decorated for the holidays. We enjoyed watching wildlife from the windows in the mornings and taking advantage of ALL of the games in the rec room in the afternoons. KJ was a great host. He checked in with us without being intrusive and he made check-in/check-out easier than a beach rental.

Refundable Damage Deposit
Deposits will be promptly refunded after your stay. Notifying the host of any damage or appliance failure as soon as possible will decrease the likelihood of any charge to your deposit, and for the host to address the issue. General maintenance items and normal wear & tear will not be charged.

A full refund will be given if cancellation is made over 30 days prior to booked date. If a cancellation is made 15-30 days prior to the booked date, a 50% refund will be given. If the dates re-book, the remainder of the refund will be provided. If a cancellation is made 1-14 days prior to the booked date, no refund will be given. The security deposit will be fully refunded for a cancellation prior to the booked date.
